1 ½ cups green cabbage, shredded
2 carrots, shredded with grater or julienne style
1 apple unpeeled, cored, sliced and diced – preferably any crisp variety
½ cup dark seedless raisins, rinsed
2/3 cup half-n-half, milk, or cream
½ cup red cabbage shredded (optional)

(makes about 3 servings)

Directions:
Using a sharp knife, shred ¼ head of green cabbage, and ¼ head of red cabbage.
Using a grater, peeler, or julienne peeler, shred carrots.
In medium sized bowl, gently toss shredded green cabbage, red cabbage and carrots.
Core, slice, and dice apple into bite size pieces.
Rinse raisins with warm water to clean and soften.
Add apples, raisins and half-n-half to cabbage mixture, lightly mixing in.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
