1 cup white sugar
¾ cup margarine, softened
1 egg
4 Tbsp (1/4 cup) molasses
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1tsp cloves
1tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the sugar, margarine, egg, and molasses until fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll into small (walnut sized) balls of dough and then roll into sugar. Press down slightly and bake on a greased cookie sheet in 350º F oven for approximately 12 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before putting on cooling rack.
