8 jalapenos
8 strips of your preferred bacon
1 package cream cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 cup brown sugar
optional: 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
optional: 1 tsp of your preferred hot sauce (chipotle tabasco works well)

Cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and optional cayenne/hot sauce. Spoon into a piping bag or Ziploc bag with the tip cut off.

Squeeze about a tablespoon of the mixture into each of the jalapeno halves.

Cut each piece of bacon in half lengthwise. Wrap one strip around each jalapeno.

Place assembled jalapenos in smoker and smoke for 1 hour at 275 degrees. (Alternatively you can bake these in an oven for 30 - 40 minutes at 350 degrees)

Remove from smoker/oven and sprinkle brown sugar over top of each one.

Place in oven under broiler set to high for 5 minutes or until sugar melts and bacon is crispy.
