2 sticks of unsalted butter- room temp
1 cup light brown sugar- packed
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt + 1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbs heavy cream
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 1/2 cup(6oz) macadamia nuts toasted with skins removed

Preheat oven 375º
Line 8x8 inch square backing dish with parchment letting it hang over edges- grease it.

In large bowl with mixer beat 1 stick of butter with 1/3 c brown sugar on Med-High until light in color (2 min).
Add flour, salt & mix on low until combined.
Increase speed to Med until clumps form.
Press dough evenly into prepared pan. Bake about 20 min- its golden & dry.
Let cool for 15 min. Reduce oven to 325.

In medium sauce pan combine corn syrup, cream, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 stick of butter & 2/3 cup brown sugar. Bring to a boil & continue cooking for 1 more min.
Stir in nuts & then pour over crust.

Bake until bubbling in the center (15min). Let it cool for 1 hour at least- or set.
Pull out of pan by the parchment - cut into squares or bars.
