2/3 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/3 cups flour
2 eggs
1 cup of brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Rinse apricots; cover with water and simmer 10 minutes.

2. Drain; cool and chop. Set aside

3. Combine with butter, sugar, and 1cup flour; blend until crumbly.

4. Pack crumb mixture into bottom of an 8-inch square pan.

5. Bake at 350º oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.

6. Beat eggs, gradually beat in brown sugar.

7. Stir remaining 1/3 cup flour with baking powder and salt.

8. Stir dry ingredients into egg sugar mixture

9. Blend in vanilla, walnuts, and apricots.

10. Spread over baked layer

11. Bake in 350º oven for 30 minutes

12. Cool into bars, and roll in powdered sugar.
