1 tsp. butter
2 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
6 large apples- peeled, corded and sliced.
3½ tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 º F. Grease a large baking dish with butter.

Mix brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon. and nutmeg in a small bowl. Layer 1/3 of the apples in prepared baking dish: sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar mixture. Repeat layers twice more.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Pour water over the apples and continue baking until tender, about 15 minutes more.
