1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. smashed ripe bananas (2 bananas)
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/4 c. flour

Frosting:
2 T. butter, melted
1 ripe banana, smashed
3-4 c. powdered sugar
2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Cream sugar, butter, shortening and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add bananas and then mix in eggs. Blend in buttermilk. Add dry ingredients until just combined. Do not over beat. It will be a sticky batter. Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes until slightly golden. Cool completely.

Frosting: Mix all ingredients and spread over cooled cookies.
