1 can asparagus
1 small can water chestnuts
1 small can English peas
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 can mushroom soup
1/4 cup grated onion
1/2 cup milk

For topping:
1 stick butter
3 slices of bread

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and pour into a small baking dish. .
Melt butter. Cut strips cf bread about 2 inches wide. Dip strips of bread in butter and place on top of asparagus mixture.
Bake at 350* until brown on top.
