2 cps. cut okra, fresh or frozen
1 cp. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 cp. plain flour
1 cp. buttermilk
1 cp. oil

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in large skillet. Mix okra in buttermilk. Mix meal and flour in large zip-lock bag. Spoon okra into bag, seal and shake to coat. Carefully drop handfuls of okra into hot oil and cook until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
