2 packages Pepperidge Farm Chessman cookies
5-6 ripe bananas
2 cups of cold milk
1 5oz package of French vanilla instant pudding mix
1 8oz brick of cream cheese
1 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 12 oz container of Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a 13x9 serving dish, layer 1 package of chessman cookies evenly on the bottom. Slice bananas and layer those ok top of the cookies.
2. Whisk the French vanilla pudding and 2 cups cold milk until thickened. Set aside.
3. Using a hand mixer, combine the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Fold in the Cool Whip.
4. Combine the pudding and cream cheese mixtures until fully incorporated. Make sure not to over mix as this will cause it to lose its fluffy quality.
5. Pour pudding over bananas. With remaining package of cookies, layer neatly on top of the pudding mixture. Let chill for at least 4 hours. Best made the night before!

I believe this recipe was first discovered by Mamaw. I won't make banana pudding any other way now! It's truly a Paula Dean recipe! So good!
