1 c. sifted flour
¼ c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
¾ tsp. salt
1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 eggs
1 c. milk
¼ c. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift: flour,sugar,baking powder and salt.
Stir: in cornmeal.
Add: eggs,milk and shortening.
Beat till smooth

Pour in a greased 9x9x2 pan.
Bake 20-25 mins

\You can also double the recipe and put in a cast iron skillet or a 9x13 and bake until golden brown.
