300g (10oz) sponge/ pound cake, halved and cut into thick slices
1 pkg of strawberry jello
1 can fruit cocktail
6 tbsp sherry
500ml (2 cups) thick, ready made, custard sauce (or make your own)
500ml (2 cups) double (heavy) or whipping cream, softly whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the jello following package directions, after dissolving the jello, add fruit cocktail (drained)
Chill in fridge for 30 mins to start setting
Break up cake and place in bottom of bowl
Pour sherry over cake
Pour jello over cake
Refrigerate until jello is set
Add custard over jello
Finish with thick layer of whipped cream
