1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar packed
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
¼ tsp. salt
3 to 4 milk chocolate bars (7/8 oz. each)
½ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 º

Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk,and vanilla. Measure flour by dipping or sifting, stir in flour and salt until dough is well blended

Spread in rectangle baking sheet about 13" X 10" . On grease baking sheet leaving about 1" all around. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until nicely browned. For softer cake like cookies spread dough in oblong pan 13" X 9 1/2" X 2", bake 20 to 25 minutes.

Crust will be soft. remove from oven immediately place separated chocolate bar squares of on top. Let stand until soft.

Spread evenly over entire surface, sprinkle with nuts. Cut in small squares while warm

Makes 2 dozen
