1 ½ cups beer
4 scallions minced (or green onions)
⅓ vegetable oil
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
1 tbsp. peeled & minced ginger root
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1½ pounds of flank steak

Directions:

Combine all marinade ingredients, add the steak and marinate 2-3 days, turning occasionally.

Drain, pat dry an grill or broil 2" from the heat for about 5 minutes per side.

Slice diagonally across the grain.
