2 cups cinnamon crisp crackers, crumbled or crushed (graham crackers)
1 stick butter or oleo
3 tbsp powdered sugar xxx
2 pkgs Dream Whip
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
11 oz cream cheese
2 cans cherry pie filling
Small amount of lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crumbs, butter, and confectioners sugar
Press into a baking dish or deep oblong pan and set aside
Mix dream whip with cold milk
Beat until stiff
In another bowl mix 1 cup sugar with cream cheese and vanilla
Beat cream cheese mixture into dream whip until it is smooth
Pour over the crust in the pan
Spread cherry pie filling over this
You may add a small amount of lemon juice to the cherries if you desire

This was Mom's go to dessert when we were kids. Dream Whip is the key!! The picture is Bill and myself on the back deck in Atlanta. "Uncle" Ed, one of Dad's friends must have had a birthday we were celebrating. Good stuff!!
