5 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
¾ lb. butter
1 can evaporated milk (large)
2 packages dry yeast
6 egg beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Put yeast in bowl and dissolve in lukewarm milk. Mix the sugar and melded butter. Add eggs, milk, and salt. Add the dissolved yeast and mix well. Add flour gradually, adding enough to make a soft dough that can be handled.
Knead well put in slightly greased bowl and let rise in a warm place until double in bulk, then form into a roll on slightly floured board divided into 6 pieces.
Roll each piece into a 12" X 14" rectangle. Spread with nut filling and roll up. Let stand on greased cookie sheets ½ hour.
Brush with beaten egg after rolls are almost done for a golden brown look.
Bake in 350 º oven for ½ hour until well browned.

Nut filling:
2½ lb. groun walnuts
2½ cups suger
1 cup melded butter
2 eggs beaten
1⅓ cups milk
1¼ tsp. salt

Combine ingredients and cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened, cool and use.
