1 can sauerkraut
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
1/2 c uncooked rice
1 egg
2 Tbsp parsley
1 head cabbage
1 15-oz can tomato sauce
1 c water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Shred cabbage, parboil and drain. Layer sauerkraut in bottom of baking dish with cover. Mix together the meat, onion, parsley, rice and egg. Layer half of cabbage on top of sauerkraut. Add half of meat mixture. Pat over cabbage. Add rest of cabbage and rest of meat mixture. Top with tomato sauce and water. Bake thoroughly for 1 1/2 at 350º.
