Sugar Cookies:

1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
5 cups flour

Butter Cream Frosting:

½ cup shortening
½ cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
4 cup powdered sugar
2 T Milk

Sugar Cookies:

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to other mixture. Make sure dough is firm; add more flour if needed Roll out ¾ inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375º for 8-10 min. Cool and frost cookies w/butter cream frosting


Butter Cream Frosting:

Mix all ingredients with an electric mixer until creamy.
