1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 stick softened margarine
2 small cans of chocolate syrup (reserve ˝ can for topping)


Topping
Place in a saucepan:
1 stick margarine
1 cup sugar
˝ cup can milk
˝ cup chocolate chips
˝ can chocolate syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Cook in a high sided sheet cake baking pan at 350° 25 minutes or until done.


Icing: Stir and let come to slow boil. Let boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add ˝ cup chocolate chips and remaining half of canned chocolate syrup. Beat until smooth and glazy. Using the opposite end of the spoon and poke holes throughout the cooked cake. Pour on hot and let soak in. Yum! Let cool and serve!

This recipe was so old when I pulled it out of Granny’s recipe box, I could hardly read it. I know it must be good because I could tell the recipe had been handled very much due to the dried on greasy margarine fingerprints and dried chocolate specks.
