½ cup sugar
2 tablespoon flour
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cup milk
3 eggs, separated
½ teaspoon vanilla
Vanilla wafers
Ripe bananas


Meringue
3 eggs whites
3 teaspoon sugar

Directions:
Directions:
To make custard thoroughly blend sugar, flour, and salt. Add vanilla. Add egg yolks, one at a time and blend until creamy. Add milk, a little at a time, blending well after each addition. Cook over medium heat in a thick boiler, stirring constantly until thickened.
Layer vanilla wafers, bananas, and custard in a casserole dish, ending with custard. Top with meringue.
To Make meringue: Beat egg whites in a shallow glass dish until slightly fluffy. Add sugar. Continue beating until stiff peaks hold their shape. Bake at 350° until golden brown.
