2¼ cups flour
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
1 t vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cups of chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375º.

2.. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.

3. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.

4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

6. Stir in chips and nuts.

7. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

9. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes.

10. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

When I bake cookies I use parchment paper liners for my cookie sheets. No sticking, less burning and less clean up.
