2 lbs. beef stew meat, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 can (10 oz.) onion soup
5 cans water
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 T. basil
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 carrots, sliced
1 can (16 oz.) wax beans, drained
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, drained
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown stew meat in hot oil; reduce heat to medium and stir in onion soup, water, tomato paste, basil, salt and pepper. Simmer for 90 minutes.

Add all vegetables and bring to a boil; cover and reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in cheese.
