1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening or oil
1 cake yeast
1/2 cup luke warm water
2 eggs (separated)
5 cups All Purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk, add sugar, salt & shortening. Stir until dissolved. Cool till luke warm. Beat egg yolks. Add to milk mixture. Dissolve yeast in luke warm water. (yeast will foam) Add to first mixture. Beat egg whites to soft peaks. Fold into mixture. Gradually add flour till smooth soft dough. Knead on floured board till smooth and satiny. Shape into ball and place in large greased glass bowl. Cover with clean damp dish towel. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch dough down. Shape into rolls and place on greased pan. Let rise till double. Bake 350º until golden on top. You may refrigerate dough until ready to make rolls.
