4 cups flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 egg
1 1/2 cups milk
8 slices of bread

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, fill with water 1/2 way. Bring to a boil.

While water is coming to a boil, in a medium mixing bowl sift flour, baking powder and salt. In a small bowl beat egg with a whisk. Tear with hands the bread into small pieces. Add beaten egg, milk and bread pieces to dry ingredients.

Once mixed, turn out onto a cutting board and shape into a small loaf. Enough to make two loaves. Place loaf into boiling water and boil for 10 minutes on each side.

After boiling on each side, take out and cut with a serrated knife.

Serve these bread dumplings with roasted pork and gravy.
