1 cup Butter
1-1/2 cups Brown Sugar
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Water
3 cups Flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 cup Dates or Raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter. Add sugar, eggs, water and vanilla. Stir in flour, cinnamon, cloves, salt and baking soda mixing well. Stir in raisins. Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake above oven center at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
