1 C sugar
1 C powdered sugar
1 C margarine or butter
1 C oil
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
5 1/4 C flour
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar with margarine, add eggs. Stir in oil & vanilla. Mix dry ingredients & blend in other mixture. Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. Form into balls about the size of walnuts and dip in sugar. Flatten with a fork. Bake 350 for 10-12 minutes.

You can use 1 tsp vanilla with either 1 tsp almond or lemon. Some of mine I leave plain without dipping in sugar then some I roll in 2T sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon. They brown quick. We like them better if just starting to brown. Don't flatten too flat!
