Notes: A cla-fou’-tee, a fruit filled batter cake, with the addition of eggs is more custard-like. A specialty of the Limousin region of France, recipes for clafouti use various fruits in season. Use a firm, tart apple or if using a sweeter apple, reduce the sugar a bit. Serve it hot with ice cream or reheat leftovers in the microwave. Bon Appetit!
