3 eggs lightly beaten
3/4 c corn syrup
3/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped pecans
9 in pie crust
3 T melted margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 375 degrees, and place pie shell in oven for about 2-3 mins. Set aside. Combine eggs and corn syrup, mix well, add sugar, blend thoroughly, stir in salt and vanilla. Spread pecans on bottom of pie shell, stir melted margarine (or butter) into syrup mixture, pour over pecans and bake 40-45 mins, till golden brown. It could be a little shaky but will congeal as it cools.

My cousin Debra sent me this recipe when I asked for Aunt Mary's original version. The family property in GA has a full grove of pecan trees.
