8 oz uncooked fettuccine
1 (1/2 cup) stick butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Heat butter and cream in sauce pan over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted. Stir in the cheese, salt and pepper until mixture is smooth. The cheese should thicken the mixture. If you need it to be thicker, add some cornstarch to COLD water and mix until smooth. Then add to the sauce and stir until thickening begins. If you do this, you may want to add a little more cheese.
