Steamed Ribs


Ingredients:

• ½ lbs. ribs, cut into small pieces
• Cornstarch

Directions:

1) Parboil ribs in boiling water for about 5 minutes to get rid of the access fat. Drain and place in a heat resistant shallow bowl.
2) Sprinkle a small amount of cornstarch over ribs and coat them, rub on to pork with your fingers.
 

Seasoning Mixture

Ingredients:  
• 1 heaping Tablespoon black bean, soak, drain & crush
• 1 clove garlic
• 2 Tablespoon soy sauce, light
• 1 Tablespoon Salt
• 1 teaspoon accent (I leave this out)
• ¼ cup water

3) Spread mixture seasoning over ribs. Steam for 1 hour.
 

Thickening Mixture

• 1 heaping Tablespoon cornstarch-dissolve in 3 Tablespoons of Water
• 1 Tablespoon soy sauce, dark

4) If gravy is thickening to desired thickness, then add a small amount of soy sauce (dark) to give it some color. If not thickening adequately, stir in additional thickening mixture and steam for an additional 5 minutes or until thickened.
