1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup sherry or chicken broth
2-1/2 tsp. minced fresh ginger root
1-1/2 tsp. minced garlic
24 boneless skinless chicken thighs

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together the first six ingredients. Reserve 1-1/3 cups for basting; cover and refrigerate. Using the remaining sauce, marinate the thighs in refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Lightly coat grill rack with oil. Grill chicken, covered over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until no longer pink; basting occasionally with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes.

My sister Lori loved Hawaii and Huli Huli Chicken. In Hawaii you would see people in trucks along the side of the roads selling Huli Huli Chicken and could smell the wonderful marinated chicken as it was being grilled.
