6 medium half-green tomatoes
1 1/4 c sugar
1 t lemon juice
2 T cornstarch, mixed with water
Dash of nutmeg
Pie crust for top and bottom
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and peel tomatoes. Remove the core and cut into small pieces. Combine the tomatoes, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and nutmeg. Line a deep dish pie plate or a shallow casserole dish with a rich pastry. Place mixture in the dish, and cover with the top crust. Pierce crust with knife point to allow steam to escape. Sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter. Bake in a moderate oven (about 350º) until crust is golden brown.
