Cook enough spaghetti to serve 4-6

Fry 12-16 slices of bacon until chewy, drain (save bacon fat); add butter (1 T), salt and pepper, garlic (1/2 tsp. or more) to bacon drippings; set aside.

In large bowl, mix 5 egg yolks with 1/2 cup heavy cream. Add 1 cup Parmesan cheese to mixture and whip with whisk.

Put cooked spaghetti in bowl along with crumbed bacon. Add egg-cheese-cream mixture and toss. Add enough bacon grease without making it runny.
Mix thoroughly and serve immediately. Serve hot.
