1 stick margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 c buttermilk
3½ c flour plus a little
½ tsp baking powder (dissolved in buttermilk)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, sugar and egg. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Stir until dough rolls away from spoon. If It doesn’t, add a little more flour. Chill in refrigerator. Cut off 1 tablespoon dough. Place on lightly floured surface and roll lightly with fingers to finger thickness 8 to10 inches long. Take ends in each hand and circle away from you. Then cross ends over center to form bow. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes until slightly browned. Store in plastic bags. Will freeze.
