3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cloves
3 cups oats
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugars; add egg and vanilla. In separate bowl,
mix flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves. Combine with
butter/sugar mixture. Stir in 1 1/2 cups oats, then raisins, then remaining
oats.

Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 8-10 min. Remove
before cookies look done (will still look a bit wet). Let set before
removing from baking sheet. Cool on rack.

Yield: approx 5 dozen
