1 lb. lean ground beef, cooked and drained.
1 pkg. (1 oz.) Old El Paso taco seasoning mix
⅔ c. water
½ c. thick 'n chunky salsa
4 thinly sliced jalapenos
3 chopped chipotle peppers
1 onion diced
1 can (16.3 oz.) refrigerated butter milk biscuits
1 c. shredded Cheddar - Monterey Jack cheese blend (4 oz.)

Additional salsa, shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sour cream and / or sliced ripe olives if desired.

1. Heat oven to 350º.
2. In a medium skillet, cook ground beef, taco seasoning mix, jalapenos, chipotle, onions, and water until thickened; stir in the ½ cup salsa.
3. Spoon into ungreased 13 x 9 inch (3 quart) glass baking dish.
4. Separate dough into 8 biscuits and cut each into 8 pieces, add to ground beef in the dish.
5. With a rubber spatula, stir gently until pieces are coated; spread evenly.
6. Bake about 20 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and biscuits are golden brown.
7. Sprinkle cheese over the top and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until cheese is bubbly.
8. Top with additional salsa and desired toppings.
