5 oz S.R. Flour
3 oz Caster Sugar
2 ½ oz butter
1 ½ oz lard
½ egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
Rolled Oats
Glace Cherries

Directions:
Directions:
1). Cream together fats and sugar
2). Beat in the egg and vanilla essence
3). Stir in the flour and mix thoroughly
4). With wet hands form the mixture into balls (1 inch)
5). Roll in the rolled oats
6). Place on a greased baking sheet and press slightly
7). Bake in a moderate oven for about 15-20 mins
8). Whilst hot, place a small piece of glace cherry in the middle
