1/4 cup butter
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp basil
1 1/2 dozen hard boiled eggs, sliced thin
buttered bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup flour
1 cup light cream
1/4 tsp marjoram
3/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1 lb bacon, sauteed, drained and crumbled

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in milk and cream and cook, stirring. until cream sauce is smooth and thickened. Add thyme, marjoram, basil and cheese, and cook, stirring until cheese is melted. Place layer of sliced eggs in casserole; sprinkle 1/3 of bacon over eggs; sprinkle 1/3 of parsley over bacon. Add layer of 1/3 cheese sauce. Repeat two more times.
