Personal Notes:
When I was about 7 years old, we went to Tennessee to visit Gr Grandmother Kelly and Gr Aunt Mary Vowell. I was so excited because I got to have a slumber party at Gr Grandma's place with my newly met cousins Kim and Stephanie. In the morning she let us make maple syrup for the pancakes she was making. We must not have paid attention to her directions because we made maple sugar candy instead of syrup. It was really good. Of course, I had to tell my sister Sheila about it... who came over the next morning so excited to try it. Imagine her dismay when Gr Grandma decided to remake our syrup by adding more water to our candy. I am not sure who was the most upset!
