Notes: Funny story behind this recipe. When Ed and i married I was not much of a cook. I made beef stew how I thought my mom made it which was almost every veggie possible. One day I sent the leftovers to work with Ed and he brought the whole container back home. I asked him why he didn't eat lunch and he reluctantly said "I really don't like this beef stew I like my mom's" so once I made it I totally understood why. It's the best beef stew I have ever had. I definitely like more cloves and worcestershire sauce than in the recipe. We have it with corn bread.
