1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
3/4 to 1 cup cooked rice
1 egg
2 cans chopped tomatoes or 1 can tomatoes & 1 can tomato paste
1 can water
Worcestershire sauce to taste
Diced onions, celery & peppers to your liking
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Sauté the onions, celery & peppers in butter. Add to the ground beef mixture and form into balls. Place in a large heavy stew pot with the cans of tomatoes or tomatoes & tomato sauce along with 1 can water and salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce & cook slowly for an hour or more covered. Stir from bottom with wooden spoon if needed. Chili powder or oregano an be added for a change.
