1 cup of butter
2 tbsp. Crisco shortening
3 cups of sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour , sifted with 1/4 tsp. soda
pinch of salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition; do not over beat. Add flour alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and almonds flavoring. Pour into large tube pan. (Do not grease pan and do not preheat oven.) Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
