1 quart sliced apples, cooked (about 4 medium apples)
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon




Topping:
3/4 cup oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/8 teaspoon soda
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
1 square butter (1/4 pound)

Directions:
Directions:
Place sliced apples in large saucepan with 1 cup water (make sure they don't boil dry) for 10 minutes or until tender; drain. Add sugar, flour and cinnamon. Place in 8 x 8 baking dish.

Topping: Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, soda, and baking powder to one square butter, softened slightly. Work until crumbly stage. Pat on top of apples. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown. Serve warm with a dab of whipped cream or ice cream on each piece.
