1/2 pound Imported Swiss cheese, shredded
1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded
2 Tbs cornstarch
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 Cup dry white wine
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 Tbs Cherry Brandy, such as Kirsch
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 Pinch Nutmeg

Assorted Dippers: Granny Smith Apples, Pear slices, Bread cubes, Asparagus, Broccoli

In a small bowl, coat the cheeses with the cornstarch and set aside.

Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the garlic, then discard the clove.

Over medium heat, add the wine and lemon juice.
Bring to a gentle simmer.
Gradually stir the cheese into the simmering liquid.
Melt the cheese gradually to make a smooth fondue.
Once smooth, stir in the cherry brandy, mustard and nutmeg.

Serve an assortment of bite-sized dipping foods on a Lazy Susan around the fondue pot.
Spear with fondue forks or wooden skewers, dip, swirl and enjoy!
