6 slices of thick bread (white or whole wheat)
2 eggs
2/3 c. of milk
1/2 tsp. of ground cinnamon (optional)
1/4 tsp. of ground nutmeg (optional)
1 tsp. of vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together egg, milk, desired spices and vanilla
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
Dunk each slide of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides.
Place in pan, cook on both sides until golden.
Serve Hot.
Serve with maple syrup and butter if desired
