4 cans green beans, drained
4 slices bacon or ham bone
1/2 onion, chopped (optional)
water to barely cover beans
1 tsp. each of salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place ham bone or bacon and onion in slow cooker and turn on high. Dump beans in and add water, salt and pepper. Cover and cook about 4-5 hours. For fresh beans, cook on high 7 hours.
