Ingredients:  
2 or 3 lbs. lean beef, cut in chunks ( can use pot roast)
4 carrots cut in 1 inch pieces.
3 stalks of celery,
1 slice of crustless bread torn apart
3 or 4 potatoes cut in chunks
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
2 (14 1/2 oz. )cans of stewed tomatoes with onions.
1 onion medium chopped
2 tbsp. minute Tapioca
chopped green pepper

Put all above in a heavy pan with a tight cover and bake in a 350º oven for 5 hours. Serves 6
