1 (10 oz) pkg vanilla wafers
¾ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
½ cup chopped English walnuts
1 quart fresh peaches or strawberries (cut into pieces)
1 cup cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
Roll wafers into crumbs. Cover bottom of an 8 or 9 inch square pan with ½ of the crumbs (grease pan and crumbs will stay better). Thoroughly cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Spread mixture over crumbs; sprinkle with nuts. Top with peaches or berries. Spread with whipped cream and sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Chill at least 8 to 12 hours.

I almost always double this recipe and put in a 9x13 inch baking pan. I have not made this with strawberries but always with peaches and it is wonderful.....so good !!!
