1 large Chicken (boiled and removed from bone in small pieces)

DRESSING:
8-10 slices bread (in small pieces)
1 ¼ tsp sage
½ cup melted oleo
½-1 cup chicken broth
2 Tbsp chopped onion
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp pepper

THICKENING:
1 cup broth
2 Tbsp flour

TOPPING:
4 slices bread torn in small pieces mixed in
¼ cup melted oleo

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken in bottom of greased 9x13 inch pan. Cover chicken with dressing. Pour thickening over dressing. Sprinkle topping over dressing and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees. May be made ahead, refrigerated, and then baked just before serving. Add additional oven time to heat.

This was Loretta Eckels recipe and have made this countless times. I use onion powder in place of onions and usually double the thickening for a creamer casserole. It is very good.
