1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
½ c. catsup
½ c. brown sugar
¼ tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ c. vinegar
¼ c. honey
⅛ to ¼ tsp. cayenne peppers (according to taste)
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
½ c. water
1 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Blend all ingredients except cornstarch and water in a medium saucepan. Mix cornstarch with water. Blend well (prevents lumps). Add to sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes. Store in the refrigerator.

This recipe may be doubled.

This barbecue sauce recipe has been in my family for decades. It goes well on chicken, ribs, pork chops, and even hamburgers.
